I wanted ALL those arrows to have missed his vital spots.

Riiiight. Not possible. Not believable. He had to die. [sniffle!] It was not what I'd had in mind when I plotted the book, but it -evolved- into a necessity.

BTW, I highly recommend Edward Gorey's wonderful little book, "The Unstring Harp or Mr. Earbrass Writes a Novel." (available also in one of the AMPHIGOREY anthologies.) Itis very, very true to the whole novel-writing experience, including that moment when your characters begin to become -real.-

And those moments when you find -autographed- copies of your books for sale in the used book store. Thanks for letting the rest of us who struggle for control really know that control might be the wrong way to go.

As for my children, well, I learned long ago to roll with those punches. Then of course, my mother says the same thing.

Best, Cassy PickardCassy Pickardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04777179497200958899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8923339336395220707.post-39078415568391325752010-02-24T11:42:07.128-05:002010-02-24T11:42:07.128-05:00LOL.
